The Miniature Village 2025
Major renovations
1995-2025... The Village is celebrating its 30th anniversary. So many adventures, experiences and encounters over the years in the evolution of this old passion. In 2025, it no longer looks like it did in 1995, many elements have been replaced, new techniques have appeared, old ideas have disappeared and the environment has evolved according to my desires.
In 2025, the equipment has suffered, especially the buildings! A major refurbishment was needed in early spring.
Hotel Zettler:
This hotel was established in the village in 2003. It then moved to a new site next to the tunnel.
2003
Work to be scheduled:
-Renovation of the roof
-Painting the shutters and windowsills
-Replacement of the façade lighting
-Replacement of the two illuminated signs
Note: in this photo, the roof renovation work has already been carried out.
Mission accomplished.
The house on fire:
Made in 2005, it is equipped with a lighting system that imitates the flames. The smoke is emitted by a theatrical smoke generator.
2005
Work carried out:
-Complete renovation of paintwork
The town hall:
Built in 2006, the town hall was originally a museum. The building was then converted into the Trooz town hall.

Work to be carried out:
-Renovation of the roof
-Painting the weather vane
-Improving the façade lighting
The police station:
Dating from 2006, this building is inspired by the Louvain La Neuve environment and its student housing estate.

The buildings on Avenue du 15 Août:
Semi-detached houses installed in 2008 in the Flemish Quarter of the village. One of them is a restaurant.
2008
Work to be carried out:
-Renovation of the roof
-Repairing the paintwork on the facade
-Painting the windows and doors
-Replacement of the lamppost on the front of the house on the left
Relatively uncomplicated work. 17 years separate these two photos.
The shopping centre:
Designed, built and installed in 2007, the shopping centre has aged with time. Its roof, on the south side, has also been particularly put to the test. 2025 is the year in which some work is needed...
2007
Work to be carried out:
-Roof repairs, south side
-Repainting the roof
-Repairs to the paintwork on the facade
-Painting of windows and doors
-Complete overhaul of electrical equipment
-Renovation of commercial signs
Work completed.
Each shop now has a brand new illuminated sign. The manager of the pharmacy is still Mr G. Lulle.
The road alongside the building is now lit by newly designed streetlights.
